wall street journal- Sudden Impact

Sudden Impact

This article was about Esther Phiri a female boxer from Lusaka Africa. She has eight siblings who all grew up with her in a two room house. She quite school in the sixth grade to make money for her family after the death of her father. She took the WIBF International Junior Lightweight title from former title holder Kelli Cofer. Now she is a role model and inspiration to many around the world.
To me Esther is a champion in mote than boxing. She sacrificed her own education for the good of her family which says a lot about her person. Also Esther proved that you can come from anywhere and do just about anything with nothing but your own personal will. Now she has the largest sports endorsement in the history of Zambia. All this is pretty amazing for a women who has been a mother since she was sixteen and only has a sixth grade education
